On the evening of July 25,li keqiang,who was on an inspection tour in nyingchi,Tibet,came to the intersection of the Brahmaputra and niyang rivers to study water resources and ecological protection.The Brahmaputra is one of the highest rivers in the world and the longest plateau river in China.The niyang river is a major tributary of the Brahmaputra,which is regarded as the mother river of nyingchi.The premier said that Tibet is the"water tower"of China and Asia.We will turn the ecologically fragile plateau into a highland of ecological civilization.
